I Want to be a REAL Plant!

So you wanna be a gardener, kid?

If you've ever see the Disney version of Hercules, you'll have an idea of what's been going through my head at the prospect of doing any sort of landscaping.

What We're Starting With

I probably should've started with this post, now that I think about it, but ah well. Dreams of fairy tale cottages are more entertaining than house pictures--after all, I love it because it's mine, but there's no reason that you should want to see seventy pictures of my (messy) kitchen.

Still, since this blog is about how I'll be renovating, repairing, and re(...decorating) my home, I think that a bunch of pictures of Square One are a necessary evil. And, with no further ado, I present my house!

But my boyfriend and I have a new physical home in the central Maryland area, and we're in the process of moving and decorating and repairing. It's perfect in every way, except for the roof and the chimney and the porch and the weather stripping and the counters... (The scummy flipper we bought from is for another post.)

Ash's name is the only one the deed, but I'm supposed to consider our house as, well, my home. So I will, and this will be a record of all the nifty things I attempt, like a garden, Tudor-style living rooms and gaming basement. Pictures of projects and my newly-sprouted plant babies coming!
